Footyboots4Kids win accessibility award

Footyboots4kids.com was launched last July as an online shop specifically targeting kids and parents buying football boots for school. The site has steadily risen through the search engines and now gets over 900 hundred visitors per day. See their server statistics to see how quickly this site has grown.

Digital Ink have built accessibility-standards web sites since re-building the Charlton Athletic site in 2004. Many people are unaware of the difficulties that visually impaired visitors have with some web sites that look fine to others. All our sites since 2004 have specially written hidden code to assist people using speaking browsers. We also include a number of other features including hidden links to skip the navigation buttons (so you don't have to listen to the reader speaking it out on every page). We also add access keys to assist visitors with motor function problems which cause them difficulties using a mouse.

So Footyboots4kids were a bit surprised when they were contacted by Access Keys and were told that their site had met the rigorous standards required for this purpose. You can read about it on their site.

We recently added three new sites for Footyboots: www.footyboots4all.com, www.footyboots4men.com and www.footyboots4women.com (yes there really are football boots designed specifically for women and girls, and they are proving popular with women's professionals like Charlton's Women's team another web site we have just built.)
