Merry Christmas from London Wasps
In this week’s ezine supporters can enjoy an audio extravaganza with interviews from Head Coach Shaun Edwards, second row Simon Shaw and returning centre Dominic Waldouck.
In a busy few weeks for the club, all eyes are now firmly focused on the action that awaits supporters at Adams Park this Sunday. Facing Edinburgh for the second time in just over a week, London Wasps will welcome Andy Robinson’s side to High Wycombe in a game which will be vital for the Londoners Heineken Cup qualification hopes.
Speaking ahead of the game, which kicks off at an earlier time of 1pm, Shaun Edwards talks to Wasps exclusively on the pressure that surrounds this must win fixture. Crediting his side for their strength of character and ability to build confidence following a tough start to the season, Edwards is determined that Wasps can now maintain momentum and stay on the right side of any further tight scorelines that will come Wasps way.
As well as Wasps Head Coach this week England and Wasps back row Simon Shaw, who comes into the starting line up for Sunday’s game, speaks to Wasps and is only too aware of just how important the clash is. For Shawsie, ever succinct and to the point, nothing less than a win will do and that, he says, is the sheer focus that has spurred the hard work at Twyford Avenue this week.
A final look ahead of to all the European action comes from young gun, Dominic Waldouck. Now back in full fitness and back in a winning Wasps side is looking forward to playing in front of a home crowd and helping ensure Wasps have all to play for when they go to Twickenham to face Leinster on the 17th January in the Battle of the Capitals.
